way back in the day, this site used to have a real logo, and underneath that logo was a random image that would refresh every time you clicked on a link or went somewhere different on the site. I’m pretty sure that it was most peoples favorite part of the site. well after years and years of nothing, i decided to dig up the old randomizing image code from the old site and implement it into this site. nothing fancy, but that nifty, oddly-sized banner up there in the right corner now is your source for random image joy. if you missed it that is… all 4 of you that still visit the site for my bi-yearly updates…
P.S. These are all images i took, or at least have something to do with some part of my life. they’re kind of random, i know.
P.P.S. a nice bonus to the new random image size is that i can use them for posts as well, so now newer random images can come from newer posts, such as this one, or the mystery ranger.
there’s been a stark lack of content on thedanwray.com for quite some time. and for the sake of boredom, and lack of anything good to write about, i have begun importing my google reader shared items as posts. its an easy way for me to share what i find interesting from several of the sites i read. also, i added the rss feed from twoguysaroundtheworld.com’s video updates to the sidebar, mostly just so you remember to hit up their awesome and successful site. you’d think that with all this free time i have, i would have done something a long time ago, but actually, i was just really bored at keeneland yesterday.
update: i decided that it looked too much like the posts i was importing looked like i was trying to make it look like i wrote them, so i switched that over to another rss feed on the sidebar. its simpler this way.
I recently decided that it’d be a good idea to have all the videos viewable from the site, so i uploaded them to google and embedded them. check out the Video page to see them all again, for the first time. Also of note, these were uploads of the original files, so there may be some discrepancies between what plays on the page and what downloads.
well, i just finished editing and posting every single personal log and quotable quote i’ve ever had on this site… i found them all on the “way back machine” or whatever it was called on the internet archive. it was a huge pain in the butt. i found that i went through several phases over the past 5 years of the website… a … (dot dot dot) phase that was pretty intense at the beginning, a “quote” phase, a (parenthesis) phase, and a bad spelling-capitalization-grammar phase thats stuck with me. if you had any questions as to what i was thinking at any point over the past 5 years though, with the exception of several gaps, this is the place to look now.
